Winter Song ~ Sessions Update

ScreenShot038
December never felt so wrong,
cause you're not where you belong;
inside my arms.

Taking this moment to thank each and every person who has followed our work. New friends, old friends...your constant support, laughter, tears, anger, surprise and joy have meant so much.

Special thanks to Beth for more than I can ever articulate.

Sometimes endings are really beginnings.

Rain, Rain Go Away

I could not resist this. In hindsight I could have done better job on it...and I probably should have used one of Beth's gorgeous shots instead...

Anyway, we have wanted to bring the nextgen of South Beach residents to the forefront and this was a perfect opportunity. No drama, just kids. And moms.

I'm still struggling with CC. Not sure when I will ever have things fixed. I'll keep pushing though. All praise to Beth for pulling this piece together.

A Little Night Music

Moving time forward a bit, and that includes Blade pressing forward with his own agenda, this piece has a gorgeous sequence of shots done by Beth. No one I know can create atmosphere the way she can and interpret the mood, the emotions so well.

A collaboration as always. Without her we'd be floundering. Turning up the volume, raising the roof, and ready to rock and roll!

Doors

ZDV024_MAINTHUMBFirst of all I want to thank everyone for their well wishes regarding my health and well-being on both my blog and Beth’s. It is most appreciated. I am starting to feel better and much to my amusement have discovered that wearing shoes with heels (I generally wear flats which is also rather funny considering my height of 5 feet nothing) actually helps ease the back and numbness in my leg. So I added these to my list for Santa.

More importantly I want to thank Beth from the bottom of my heart. Even with her own upside down chaotic situation she kept things going, pushed through so much and took some gorgeous shots for our latest update despite constant crashing and CC dilemmas. There aren't enough words that can describe what kind of person she is. I feel very honored to call her my friend.

Our latest update is here - > The Blower's Daughter

Confessing that I have been in a very strange place for the last few weeks trying to rediscover who I am, what I am doing, where I am going. My wheels have been spinning in the mud for a long time trying to escape what has been chasing me. I gave up running, turned and faced it head on. We'll see how that goes. Opening all doors and waiting, down but not out, finally willing to stand in the long shadow and just watch.

In the meantime thank you all for everything, your support, your wishes, and your friendship.

Sessions Update - Chapter 42

ScreenShot019
This update is a little longer than what we have been putting up lately. Gorgeous, incredible scenery and shots provided by Beth. As always a collaborative effort.

Thanks, each and every one of you for your support. It means a lot to both of us. Hope you enjoy.

Going Much Further ~ Sessions Chapter 40

Blade is moving in on a lot more than just a new house.
Sessions Update Chapter 40: If I Never See Your Face Again

Huge thank you to Beth for capturing these fantastic shots. I'm still sifting through CC.

Lady So Divine

ScreenShot011
Sessions Update Lady So Divine. Sorry this announcement isn't more interesting; I'm out of creativity for the day. Thank you, Beth, for taking the shots. They are gorgeous!

Be sure to check out Blade's bio.

Riding Out the Storm

ScreenShot012
This piece has gone through all kinds of interesting twists and turns. It is a little longer than some of the more recent posts we have done but it definitely works.

Thanks so much for your patience while we worked this chapter out. There is a new sense of direction that came out of it and a certain muse decided to get off his ass and help with the creative process (he has no problem voicing his displeasure but would he lift a finger to help get us out of the mud until now? NO!) A little incentive is always a good thing...

2 Thai Mojitos and Several Tequila Shots Later

We had a team offsite today. We saw Peter Pan at the Embarcadero in SF. I will say it was amazing, a 360 degree theatre in a tent. I tried to take some pictures with my iPhone since they do not allow cameras but I don't know how well they came out. All in all it was a great show.

Afterwards we went to a Thai restaurant in one of the buildings at the Embarcadero and had appetizers and cocktails during happy hour. It was a challenge to focus on my speed vs. the overwhelming need to pee as I drove home.

Sessions Chapter 34

Because any shot with Jimmy's torso is a draw...

We cross story lines and blogs all the time. This piece is no exception. One world, one story, many different facets.

No Light, No Sound

Looking at what you left behind can sometimes bring clarity to the here and now. Sometimes it makes things worse. An emotional and gorgeous piece.

Leaving Scars

New update at Sessions -> Chapter 32 Call Your Name

Cooper wakes from a nightmare and realizes reality isn't much better. Saying a huge thank you to Beth for fighting with constant game crashes involving a lot we have used before that chose not to cooperate. It was a hard climb but she did a tremendous job.

Beautiful Disaster

AN: Post contains a link to an update! Blogger was being temperamental today.
CH
This is the area in front of Melinda's house of ill repute. There actually is a building that I based Chameleon on which does in fact have railroad tracks that run along the front. At one time it was a brothel although it wasn't called Chameleon. I don't know too much about it other than stories I have heard and I went there a time or two (by then it was no longer a whorehouse damn it). I posted a couple of shots of it if you're curious. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the interior was beautiful. Sadly it no longer has the same charm that it once had. But I took my memories of it and created one of my own.

It Hits the Fan

Moving right into the next section of this arc. The storm takes a turn for the worse.

I don't usually post warnings. Anyone who follows our work should know by now that we write an adult story. However, aside from language, I'm not sure when the last time was that we include other adult situations. For that reason I will mention that this piece includes strong sexual behavior.

As Yet Untitled - Sessions Update

Meant to put this up last night...

It has been a bit chaotic...we didn't do this in our usual organized manner...but the update is worth it! I have no idea how Beth got those incredible shots to go with the writing but she pulled it off in spades.

You can read it here.

Sessions Update - Chapter 26

ryan
There is no doubt the man in this shot is one gorgeous solid mass of sex appeal.

Despite the fact that she is not feeling very well, Beth has managed to finish the next piece for Sessions. Cranking the tension up a little more, one agonizing twist at a time. Sessions 26 - Torch

My Own Eruption - an Update

This is me making excuses. I normally don't like to but I lost a day this weekend with a hideous debilitating headache and pushed way too hard to get this update screen capped today. It did not sit well with me and it did not go well. The lot wasn't ready. I didn't have a key player installed in the game. I had a flashing blue something or other that prohibited camera angles. I used Flickr to upload the shots. I'm curious to see if it makes a damned bit of difference.

I made this much more difficult on myself than I should have. Beth told me I was over-thinking and she was right.

Anyway, this is, as are all of our Sessions pieces, a collaboration. It's not terribly long. And it is going somewhere.

No Thanks to Blogger - Sessions Update

I have not had this much trouble getting an update posted. Ever. Well not at least in recent memory. I guess that is what happens when you don't update very regularly.

Beth and I have had this one in the books for awhile but it just didn't feel right. The characters we wanted to use changed, the direction we wanted to go changed, my neighborhood kept blowing up. It has been frustrating and consuming all our energy but we finally managed to put together an interesting (IMHO) update to Sessions. This piece will have offshoots so it needed to be right.

Fire and Rain

I tried to upload a shot but Blogger is being an asshat again.

We just updated at Sessions. The chapter is called Fire and Rain. We learn who the mysterious Julia lookalike is and what she wants (maybe). As always this was a collaboration but Beth has been busting her butt not only with her Passages pieces but also with all the shots on this one as well. I will say that even though they are a pain to get and I know how she struggles to get just the right look, her shots are, as always, simply amazing.

Song in the playlist #23 is by James Taylor.

Enjoy!

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
