AN: Post contains a link to an update! Blogger was being temperamental today.

This is the area in front of Melinda's house of ill repute. There actually is a building that I based Chameleon on which does in fact have railroad tracks that run along the front. At one time it was a brothel although it wasn't called Chameleon. I don't know too much about it other than stories I have heard and I went there a time or two (by then it was no longer a whorehouse damn it). I posted a couple of shots of it if you're curious. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the interior was beautiful. Sadly it no longer has the same charm that it once had. But I took my memories of it and created one of my own.
As requested by
Beth and
Phoenix

I have put up Ryan's 10 Things. This was like pulling teeth since Ryan is already very private and reluctant to discuss himself much. I added his mosaic to it as well and may do so with the other ones I put up. Not really sure yet.
Again, I am not going to tag anymore storytellers and please PLEASE if you tagged one of mine and I missed it let me know so I can do it.
Character Study - Ryan McDermott

Moving right into the next section of this arc. The storm takes a turn for the worse.
I don't usually post warnings. Anyone who follows our work should know by now that we write an adult story. However, aside from language, I'm not sure when the last time was that we include other adult situations. For that reason I will mention that this piece includes strong sexual behavior.

Sessions 28 - Closer

Meant to put this up last night...
It has been a bit chaotic...we didn't do this in our usual organized manner...but the update is worth it! I have no idea how Beth got those incredible shots to go with the writing but she pulled it off in spades.
You can read it here.

This character study was requested by
Muzegoddess and
Dinuriel. I was also tagged by
SB and
Phoenix to do one for Ryan (and it is about half done) so I hope to finish it soon. You can read Cadence's 10 things
HERE. I am not going to tag anyone else since this has gone around a lot. And since I am behind on my reading, if you have tagged me and I have not mentioned it here, please give me a poke. I am on vacation for a week so I might actually have time to finish them!
New Song of the Week is up. Rhythm of the Rain by Dan Fogelberg

There is no doubt the man in this shot is one gorgeous solid mass of sex appeal.
Despite the fact that she is not feeling very well, Beth has managed to finish the next piece for Sessions. Cranking the tension up a little more, one agonizing twist at a time.
Sessions 26 - Torch

This is me making excuses. I normally don't like to but I lost a day this weekend with a hideous debilitating headache and pushed way too hard to get this update screen capped today. It did not sit well with me and it did not go well. The lot wasn't ready. I didn't have a key player installed in the game. I had a flashing blue something or other that prohibited camera angles. I used Flickr to upload the shots. I'm curious to see if it makes a damned bit of difference.
I made this much more difficult on myself than I should have. Beth told me I was over-thinking and she was right.
Anyway, this is, as are all of our Sessions pieces, a collaboration. It's not terribly long. And it is going somewhere.

Eruption

I have to say this was definitely one of the most interesting memes I have seen and I thoroughly enjoyed (because I love everything she does without question) the one that
posted for one of her characters,
Tahlvin Shadowtalon. Melinda was tagged by her.

10 Things - Melinda Owen
Tagging the following. And because I want to, I am throwing one extra in here:
muzegoddess: Cross
atomicspacekit: Julian Nomad
phoenixfg: Nolan
dinuriel: Scorpio
eshuff: Camilla
Lunar Fox: Alex (although I am tempted to say Henri)
It isn't pretty today. Although I expect it will clear up and the sun will poke through the overcast skies, right now it looks cold and gray.
The power is down on the first floor of the building for maintenance. There are UPS devices beeping in the cubes on what we lovingly refer to as the dark side. I went over there to find the errant backup devices and found myself imagining an adventure, the deserted office with empty cubicles concealing some mysterious evil. I like the dark and the chills I get.
The shot above was taken from my cubicle window with my iPhone so it is a little out of focus. It is going to be a long day I suspect...
I started a short story last month, or possibly the month before that. While envisioning the room that the first part takes place in, I decided I need some angelic statues which of course I do not have. I have searched high and low at the usual places. What I want is illustrated in the image below. Wings are a must. If I can find a variety, all the better.

I grabbed this from GoS and yes, I know I could probably ask there but...I don't wanna. So if you have seen them, please let me know.
The other thing I wanted to share is a link to some incredible images of a lot that can be downloaded. Good grief, this place will most assuredly choke my game and kill it and I highly doubt it is playable but
OMFG will you LOOK at that DECOR!!!
HOUSE BEAUTIFUL
Thanks in advance. Will X-Post at LJ just in case.
I am always interested in the responses from other bloggers/storytellers with regard to perception and opinions of blogs. Having read the comments on
Beth's recent post I decided to pull my music playlist off this blog. Granted I think it was only one song but still...if there are readers who do not enjoy it then I think it is best to remove it.
Instead I have opted to add a music widget that will feature a song of the week. It has a play button so hopefully it will not interfere with anyone's musical sensibilities particularly since my taste in music is quite varied.
This week's feature is If You Only Knew by Shinedown. I find them easy on the ears and I love the lyrics to this song. It is subtle and romantic.
A new update is posted at Passages. You can read it
HERE. Love LOVE these two together.
I am also looking for a site that had some really gorgeous lots in the New Orleans/French Quarter design. They are not the ones at GoS. I think it may have been an LJ or DW site but I can't be sure. All I know is that the lots were absolutely amazing.
ETA: Site has been found. Thank you Kara!

For those of you that celebrate 4th of July I hope it is filled with magic, good food, good weather, and good friends.

I seem to have an obsession with boys and bugs. If anyone would attempt catching lighting in a bottle it would be Jimmy.
Beth has posted a Passages update
HERE. The events happen after the events in Rising Above Chapter 13. Since both of these pieces are a prelude to the big guns we are going to pull out I thought I would mention it.
In Perfect Harmony
In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.
