It isn't pretty today. Although I expect it will clear up and the sun will poke through the overcast skies, right now it looks cold and gray.
The power is down on the first floor of the building for maintenance. There are UPS devices beeping in the cubes on what we lovingly refer to as the dark side. I went over there to find the errant backup devices and found myself imagining an adventure, the deserted office with empty cubicles concealing some mysterious evil. I like the dark and the chills I get.
The shot above was taken from my cubicle window with my iPhone so it is a little out of focus. It is going to be a long day I suspect...

In Perfect Harmony
In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
what a fantastic pic! And don't you even start on cold and gray. Gimme some of it. Trade you 100+....
ReplyDeletethat's great idea about the empty cubicles and mysterious evil lurking behind cranky backup devices!
Isn't it fun to have such a vivid imagination? I enjoy creeping myself out too. :)
ReplyDeleteBeth I am one of the lucky ones who managed to negotiate a window cube. The sun is actually starting to poke through. I wish I could send some cooler climate to you...
ReplyDeleteMy mind went nuts over on the dark side...there is only 3 of us down here and the rest of the crew got located upstairs so it is quiet...except for the beeping UPS devices.
Kara my mind was whirling while I walked the aisle over there. Some of my thoughts weren't fit to print however...hehe.
ReplyDeleteOh a window and an actual cubicle, what I wouldn't give for that small level of privacy at work. Looks like a good people watching spot too.
ReplyDeleteMuzegoddess I wish it was a good people watching spot. That is our parking lot. And if I look to the left I can see the freeway. On a good day we get squirrels climbing the tree.
ReplyDeleteBelieve me this is NOT private. I should take some shots of the place...
