Beautiful Disaster

AN: Post contains a link to an update! Blogger was being temperamental today.
CH
This is the area in front of Melinda's house of ill repute. There actually is a building that I based Chameleon on which does in fact have railroad tracks that run along the front. At one time it was a brothel although it wasn't called Chameleon. I don't know too much about it other than stories I have heard and I went there a time or two (by then it was no longer a whorehouse damn it). I posted a couple of shots of it if you're curious. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the interior was beautiful. Sadly it no longer has the same charm that it once had. But I took my memories of it and created one of my own.

I had a major neighborhood meltdown so most of the work I had done in the Sim-building was lost and I had to recreate it for this Sessions update. Which is the point of this post actually. I couldn't find my rhythm with this one even though I had mapped out how I wanted to shoot it. I guess I couldn't follow my own directions. It's a bit stiff. Hopefully the writing makes up for it.

Title has changed about 5 or 6 times. I settled on a B-side by Daughtry.

  2. Beth, it used to have the most gorgeous exterior, still plain but the windows weren't boarded up, it had a very Victorian feel inside and out.

And I realized I should have put up a shot of the Chameleon building and not the trains...

Thanks for leaving me your thoughts ~ they always mean a lot.

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
