Not much to report. SB mentioned baked potatoes the other day and I have been craving them like crazy. Twice bakes actually, with super sharp cheddar, loads of butter, bacon, onions, sour cream...or shrimp chowder with sourdough. Or both.
So I have been letting my arm out of the sling (bad, bad girl that I am) but you just don't know how awful it is to have your arm in one position for most of the day and night. I am getting irritable at this point with immobility. It's stiff and painful unless I move it. My next follow-up is the 19th so hopefully I will be able to start using it more.
I managed to post a photo shoot of one of my Chameleon girls here -> Lyra. These shots were taken back in August and I did not do much Photoshopping because...I just didn't. They looked good enough. Just have two more to go, Marielle and the lovely Melinda and that series will be done. Not sure if many of you have perused my various postings on that blog. I have been itching to do photo shoots lately. They inspire me to write actually.
Seen any good movies lately? I signed up for a free trial of Netflix. Watched Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian on the PC. I liked it. I really couldn't think of any movies I wanted to see which is too bad since they are free for one month. I ordered X-Men Origins: Wolverine (I love Hugh Jackman). That should be here tomorrow along with Nights in Rodanthe which I ordered because...I don't know why I ordered it actually.
I am wondering if my Twitter widget is going to overtake my sidebar. Do those things ever recycle?
Week Four Lessons Learned:
- A little curry, a little dill can really spice up a tuna melt
- I can actually sort laundry with my right arm but refuse to clue the boys in on that factoid
- There really is a Climax, GA
- When they tell you to take an anti-nausea pill 30 minutes prior to a pain pill, do it
- Vampire Diaries, love it or hate it...I can't decide
- I should be the next Iron Chef...NOT
BLOGTHING ALERT!!
Your PB and J Says You're Adventurous and Accepting |
![]() Your eating style is gluttonous. If you like something, you're going back for seconds... no matter how full you are! You have an average sweet tooth. While you enjoy desserts, they aren't exactly your downfall. Your taste in food tends to be pretty flexible. You may crave sushi one night, and your favorite childhood recipe the next. You're a self loathing middle class person. You act a lot classier than you are, and you secretly feel like a fraud. Seriously? Self-loathing? And I am chock full of class damn it! You are a tough person who isn't afraid to live life fully. There isn't a lot that scares you. You are laid back and extremely easygoing. You never make a fuss, and you try to enjoy every moment. |
Glad to hear things are moving along, have I seen any good movies? No. This summer it was a real struggle to find a movie to go see, I saw Harry Potter and Up. That was it. Both excellent. Both not on DVD yet. And haven't seen any on DVD lately. I am no help.
ReplyDeleteI hear State of Play was good, But I just saw the BBC mini-series it is based on, so was in no hurry to check it out.
And yeah, the twitter thing is taking over your sidebar, but then, I am not a twitter fan, LOL!
Take it easy!
Thanks Drew! Yes Twitter can't be much worse than my ever growing blog rolls. I am hoping they drop off soon (the older twitters) otherwise I may rethink that whole widget.
ReplyDeleteIn my previous R2R post I mentioned Lady Marion dying...what's up with that? I missed that episode.
Yeah, I am not keen on how Robin Hood ended (after season three) I won't give anything away, but let's say this BBC version is NOTHING like the legend, which is a good thing, but also to its detriment.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are doing ok. :D
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any good movies lately...
I love horror movies...
so I really want to watch "Paranormal Activity" but my hubby hates horror movies, so looks like I would have to wait till it comes on DVD...
I really love Iron chef...
I'm off to check your photoshots!
Take care!
Can you not set how many tweets the widget displays? That's what I do--I have it set to display a maximum of three, I think.
ReplyDeleteHusband and I have Netflix, we love it for catching up with TV shows... since we rarely ever watch TV. Not so much for movies. I'm not much of a movie person (although Zombie Land was fantastic and I hate zombies); I don't have the attention span for them when the average time seems to be about 100+ minutes now. So I can't help there. :(
I hope your follow-up goes well. I can't blame you for running sling-free. When I fell through the deck and banged up my leg good, I insisted on hobbling around despite the pain. Being immobile is no fun!
wow, for once I got something entirely different from that quiz. I'm Chai Tea and supposedly like exotic stuff. Now...I don't even like tea. Love your quizzes!
ReplyDeleteI would be going crazy by now with the immobility. The sling would be under the bed and I would have lamed myself permanently. You're doing the right thing to put up with it as long as you can.
I haven't seen a movie in a year, and my daytime tv viewing tends to be the discovery channel or something that will make me fall asleep as rapidly as possible...
oh and btw, I can't figure out how to limit the number of tweets that display either. I just checked again and still don't see any way to do it.
ReplyDeleteS@ndy: Thanks! I like horror movies too and my husband hated them. I always had to watch with the BiL when my husband went to sleep!
ReplyDeleteMao: I tried to figure out how to limit the number...it takes me awhile to figure anything out. I will look again though.
Drew: I just didn't know how she died. I tried to watch the On Demand episode but it disappeared before I had a chance to finish. Oh well...
SB: Your PB&J says you are Chai tea? I want to go back and take it again just to see what else I can be...I love those dumb things...I could waste all kinds of time over there. Immobility is a double edged sword. On the one hand I can't hurt myself but am going crazy. Remove the sling and I do more than I should.
the problem with the tweets may be your widget. That was my problem. Some of them can't be customized like that.
ReplyDeleteI figured it out. Emailing you...
