As a person who is generally resistant to change the need to start a new blog always baffles me. But I was talking about it with Beth and realized that my need to create, particularly when I am stuck, is why I think I do it. It is like a quest for perfection and I am looking for that perfect place to call home for my writing. Of course there is no such thing IMHO, perfection that is, but at least it settles the need in my mind.
Having said that, I am announcing another blog. It is called Intermezzo. What we will post are short pieces that don't have anything to do with the main storyline but touch on the day to day lives and events of people we do not normally write about. There will be no posting schedule and you do not need to feel obligated to read although you may enjoy it.
We have wanted to do this for a very long time and with Beth's encouragement the first piece is there. Approximately 880 words and 8 screen caps. An Unexpected Encounter.

Revamping Slowly
I discovered Pages last month and have been playing around with them bit by bit in an effort to unclutter the main page. I don't use the link list since I use Google Reader to stay up to date with the blogs I follow so I am creating pages with story/blog links. It is a work in progress but if you are wondering where all my links went, now you know.
So why, you ask, am I doing this instead of updating or finishing the last scene of Sessions so we can edit it? Because I procrastinate and more importantly because I am at work and doing anything that requires my full attention when I am interrupted by...actual work...is difficult. This is busy work, mindless stuff, copy/paste/preview stuff.
So anyway, there is a box on the right currently at the top that takes you to my Pages. Again this is WiP so it ain't pretty yet and may never be pretty.

Announcement - Finally
Meet Thalia Owen, nine year old daughter of Melinda and Damian Owen. Raised by her mother and shielded from her mother's travails as well as her father, a man who never wanted to know her, Thalia is a shy and soft-spoken little girl.Nearly a year ago I made a decision to attempt (unofficially) the writing prompts from Simfic50. I say unofficially as I don't include word count, summary, etc. but I wanted to use the premise for when I am blocked or just feel like I want to do something different with all the crazy ideas in my head. I already had a blog set up for short stories so I thought I would post there. I took down the previous work (the images were too small) and added a piece based on my Chameleon series which was not going to follow a traditional story timeline; it was simply going to be stand alone pieces based on Melinda Owen, proprietor of the "gentleman's club" called Chameleon. You may have seen photo shoots of her "girls" on my photo blog, Through The Lens.
It has since grown and woven its way into Sessions by way of crossover characters, something I had not intended but ended up happening. Having discussed the future of the story and where I am going with it with Beth, we both agreed that it should become a companion to Sessions. To that end I have created a new blog that will thread in and out of Sessions in a similar fashion to Rising Above and Passages.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the story line:
Chapter 1 - Death
Chapter 2 - Beginnings
The pieces are relatively short, the newest one, Chapter 3 - Choice, being a mere 22 screens. It has been written for awhile, just not screen capped. I hope you will enjoy Melinda's journey.
Disclaimer: No tendons were harmed in the posting of this chapter.

The Results Are In
Thank you all for voting in my little poll. Here are the results:
Whose bio would you like to see posted?

Bonni McCallister Savage 7 (58%)
Will Savage 6 (50%)
Ericca Stanfield 5 (41%)
Daniel Whitney 4 (33%)
Aidan O'Malley 2 (16%)
Cassandra Stanfield 1 (8%)
Eric Stanfield 0 (0%)
Poor Eric, no one seems very interested in you...
Muse willing, I will have Bonni's bio posted some time tonight or tomorrow and will slowly finish the rest when I can.
Having said that, I may be stepping away for a short while and Bonni's bio may be the last thing I post until I work some things out. This may be either a very short LOA or a longer one depending on which way the tide takes me. I will not abandon the stories I follow, I just need...time I guess. How much I just can't say. I am not giving up, I am just taking another look.
The support I have felt from everyone through all my wacky moods and travails has been much appreciated and something I will not forget. Ever.
Thank you.

~ Minor Change to the Playlist ~
I changed the autoplay feature on the playlist for Sessions so that the songs can remain numbered according to the chapter they go with. It bothered me the way they were so I hope that will work better.
So for any of you that listen to the music, you will need to scroll down to the playlist and click the song that applies to the chapter.

Bio Updates ~ Mitchell Family
I have posted bios of the Mitchell family on my Biographies blog (which I sincerely need to find a better name for). At any rate, you can find the entire Mitchell family here: Mitchell
I am working on an update for The Other Side of the Stage (as in the writing stage) but I have a pretty clear idea of where I am going with it. Also have some bits and pieces going on for Wyatt's story, Rising Above, as well. Hopefully by next weekend, barring anything unforeseen in RL getting in the way, I should have them ready to go. I wish I could update faster but it just doesn't work for me to try and stay on a regular schedule with it. I'm trying though.
Might focus on bios for the other two band members for Mercury Rising and the Savage family. Can't believe I have allowed that family to slip to the background again. I blame it on Cadence who has completely grasped my attention and won't let go.
Also on the To Do list is a revamp of this blog page. It really needs a fresh look don't you think?

News EDITED: 4/27
Over at the Sims2 Writers Alliance we have started a progressive story. It is a collaboration that should be a lot of fun since we have no idea where it is going to end up. You can check it out at this blog: The Collective Our first progressive story is titled Life...Or Something Like It. Part one is called An Ordinary Life.
Hopefully we will have many new and fun writing challenges to stretch and exercise our writing creativity so check the site frequently.
Edit April 23rd: The second installment of Life...or Something Like It has been posted titled First Turn. This part was written by Beth, who I tagged, and it is fabulous. If you haven't read it yet, check it out here.
Edit April 26th: The third installment of Life...Or Something Like It called Delirium has been written and posted by Emily followed today, April 27th, by the fourth installment titled Pale Men and Crimson Cocktails written and posted by Karen. Both are absolutely delightful chapters. Please check them out.

In Perfect Harmony
In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
