The Things We Do

Is it just me or do all sim-babies look the same? Anyway this is Gemma's baby girl, Hollis Wilson. She seems to have her mother's coloring and her father's eyes. Yeah you didn't think I was going to actually tell you who that was did you? Silly readers...

On top of the change in my work schedule this week I ended up with a cold. I think the stress from last week's exams took its toll between staying up to cram and the general tension. So I am sitting here at the computer sweating from a fever, sneezing non-stop with a tissue permanently attached to my face and wondering how I will stay up all night. I do have iTunes blasting (currently listening to Daughtry) and I decided to amuse myself with some blasts from the past. First up under the cut is the hospital photo shoot. Word of warning there is a crapton of shots and general stupidness that is my commentary. I can only defend myself by saying I am sick.

Since my regular story neighborhood keeps crashing on me I had to use clones in a test NB. I threw the extras together and stuck them on a blank lot with Slim-clone. Am I the only one who is reminded of Peter Pan here? "We're following the leader, the leader, the leader. We're following the leader wherever he may go."

Arriving at the hospital. Don't mind the non-medical personnel in this shot. She is one of the sims who is taking part in my ACR project. Poor thing can't find a mate. Perhaps she thought she'd meet a nice doctor at Mercy?

Here they come...places everyone!!

And there they go. Having done their jobs it is time for them to head back to the empty lot they call home. I hope it doesn't snow...

Slim-clone was fascinated with the brunette in front. Let me just say if Bonni-clone ever catches him she will cut off his cojones and serve them to him for dinner. Damn he's hot!

I had fully intended to get more exterior shots of this place in the update but ultimately I didn't need them.

"Home again, home again, jiggety jig." And buh-bye.

Next up is Shaun and Stevie's wedding at City Hall. Not sure why I feel like posting these. Whatever. She was in the early stages of her pregnancy with Devlin (man I almost forgot the kid's name)

Or not. I ran out of server space...oh well stay tuned...

I'm fading - going to take a nap...

  1. Oh no! You're sick too! Something is going around particularly here on the west coast apparently. Everyone at work has been sick (that's like four people and now me), and Jay was telling me just last night that some of his other Californian friends on various boards mentioned being sick.

I hope you get better soon! Get a lot of rest.

And it's not just you-- all the baby sims look the same. They're all the same mesh, even the aliens.

  2. I love the downtown you made. And the shots. And Slim.

Sending good thoughts your way. You have a very very day ahead of you...

  3. Lunar I think you're right. Something must be going around...and I cannot afford to be sick.

Beth that downtown is all smoke and mirrors. I could never replicate the gorgeous building that you do...but it did lend itself a little more reality even if the exterior never showed.

Thank you both for the good thoughts.

  5. Shit, I would not want to visit anyone in this hospital. Look at the parking lot in the background, jammed packed with cars. It would take any sim hours to find street parking. LOL.

Gayl, I truly admire you and SB's dedication in making the shots impeccable.

  7. lepifera, I hadn't realized how many cars were actually in that place but you're right! LOL! As for impeccable shots I think SB has cornered the market there. I pretty much fly by the seat of my pants and hope for the best. thank you for supporting us!

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
