Words and Music

Silk, Stilettos and Pearls
I was not going to publicize this but I'm in a mood so I figure why not...

This shot is an outtake from my recent week's photo shoot. I couldn't find the stilettos I wanted to use and I couldn't keep the guitar case open without propping it with something. I was really at a loss as to what I wanted this week and ended up posting something completely different.

I am sticking to my resolution about using my digital camera as well as attempting to write something every day. To help me stay with it I committed to a 52 week photography challenge. I selected a theme which I will admit is broad but whatever. I selected music along with my storytelling as a theme. I've managed 4 weeks so far. They aren't great but I'm having fun with it.

The second piece, the writing, is why I created the blog Words and Music. I'll either post something original, directly from our stories, or something revamped from our stories. They are very short, like one-minute exercises.

I do not know if anyone is remotely interested, I just wanted to put it out there.

  2. I'm interested! The important part is to just stick to your plans every day, so even if you only write a little or only take one shot, that's good. And if you're having fun, that's the best and most important part.

  5. Beth: Thank you...I wish this shot had not been so out of focus. But it isn't half bad...

Lunar: LOL I hope you are! I am having fun with it, definitely. I get over-ambitious with my ideas but they will come together. And I am sticking to it.

Laura: Thank you! It is still a WiP but I do like it.

ASK: They are nothing compared to your amazing photo shoots...if I can come even somewhat close to capturing what you can I will be thrilled.

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
