Alive...Kicking Not So Much

To add to my list of health woes, I've been dealing with a leg that refuses to function. It feels like I am dragging dead weight around. Yesterday I actually fell getting out of bed when the leg refused to hold me.

This began Sunday afternoon and progressively deteriorated to the point where my employers actually had to force me to leave work to see a doctor. Long story short, the x-rays show a compressed disc (disk?) in my lower back that has impinged a nerve. Diagnosis...bed rest. Yeah. Right. I'll just have the help manage everything while I lounge around...

It is times like these I wish I had a laptop that had Sims 2 installed. Shot above is one of the lots in a test NB where I have been systematically going through CC to determine what crashes what. I really liked the look of this, scenic, cold. I almost see the smoke rising from the chimney.

  1. Yikes! :S

Hope your back and leg feel better soon, as well as everything else. Try to take things easy for now. You have a ton on your plate, and your health comes first--don't worry about updates or pictures or whatnot.

Wishing you the quickest, most comfortable recovery possible, Gayl.

  2. Hey,

I hope you get to feeling better soon. Definitely take it easy for a while, you don't want to make something like that worse.

You know we'll be here when you get back. In the mean time, we're missing you and thinking about you!

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
