Announcement and an Update of Sorts

As a person who is generally resistant to change the need to start a new blog always baffles me. But I was talking about it with Beth and realized that my need to create, particularly when I am stuck, is why I think I do it. It is like a quest for perfection and I am looking for that perfect place to call home for my writing. Of course there is no such thing IMHO, perfection that is, but at least it settles the need in my mind.

Having said that, I am announcing another blog. It is called Intermezzo. What we will post are short pieces that don't have anything to do with the main storyline but touch on the day to day lives and events of people we do not normally write about. There will be no posting schedule and you do not need to feel obligated to read although you may enjoy it.

We have wanted to do this for a very long time and with Beth's encouragement the first piece is there. Approximately 880 words and 8 screen caps. An Unexpected Encounter.

  1. it sounds really good, I will check it out as soon as I can!
I always wonder what other sims are doing while all the drama is around the main characters...
Having a day to day blog sounds like a great idea and a perfect way to keep in touch with all those other characters we don't see that often in the spotlight!
Like always you two always have the greatest ideas!!!

  2. I love this idea and the first installment. I can't wait to see who else we might find out more about with these.

  3. S@ndy, it is hard to squeeze everyone into a storyline and rightfully so. Shining the light on them once in awhile is a good thing. Thanks so much!

  4. Muzegoddess, thank you! It will be fun and definitely no pressure. Who knows, it may even help us open up to some new ideas in the main story.

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
