~ Update: Through the Lens ~

Next in line for the photo shoots I am doing of the ladies of Chameleon is Onyx. Her eyes seem to have similar characteristics to the gem she chose as her pseudonym. She actually has an interesting background that I may touch on one day. Here is a preview shot.

  2. Thank you Sandy! I just duplicate the original layer 2 or 3 times, apply a few different options, depending on the original image. I use Overlay, Soft light, Screen. Then I apply a blur, usually Gausian blur on the darker layer and Lens Blur on the Screen, leaving the original alone. Sometimes I throw in a lighting filter. I basically play around with it until it looks right. I mess with the transparency too. And I move the layers around to see if it changes the look of the shot.

I also converted them to JPG since it takes up less space (smaller files) and did notice the images deteriorate a little. I start with PNG files. Hope that makes sense!

  4. Thanks Cherie. The camera loves Onyx. And I will admit I like unusual looks, but sometimes it is hard to achieve. I do spend a lot of time in Body Shop.

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
