Feedback Please

Ever since I began the second part of Dark December, I have wanted to use the opportunity to delve into the characters more, who they are, where they came from, and most especially what it is like for them on tour, not in front of the stage but behind it. This, of course is the reason that Rafe is traveling with the bands, his all-access pass to write his story for Rolling Stone. I have been toying with various scenarios in an effort to bring those stories out to the readers and I have come up with a plan but I need your input. I would like you all to post questions here in the comments section asking any question you would like answered.
Since I am focusing on one band member at a time, the first article will be on Aidan O'Malley, the quiet one. Feel free to post as many questions as you would like and any topic is open for question for Aidan. Anonymous questions are fine if you prefer.

Thanks for helping me out with this. Hopefully, I can bring to light more about each person's life and personality as seen through the eyes of Rafe Taylor.

  1. This is such a great idea Gayl! I can't wait to find out about their background.

Question for Aiden ... What's his history with Cooper and Slim (if any)?

  2. You always come up with the most fantastic ideas!!! :D
My questions: is it really worth to go on a tour, leaving your family behind and your personal life on hold for such a long time? Do you ever feel lonely? has any tour changed your life? If you were not in the group, were would you be right now? what would you be doing instead?

Gayl: this is a fantastic idea!!! :D

  3. hmmm... I have to think a bit on this one...

I guess if there is one question I would have for him is...

How he has maintained his own personality, his own emotions and morals, despite being associated with so much fame. 80)

    Wonderful, great and brilliant idea.

  4. Thank you guys! Excellent questions so far! I am compiling a list so keep 'em coming if you think of more. I'm not entirely sure how I will introduce the actual story/response. I may stick them in between chapters of DD. I still have to figure that out.

Please do keep the questions coming.

  7. 1. Name one of your musical heroes and why they are so special to you?
    2. How old were you when you seriously picked up your first instrument?
    3. If you were not a musician what would your "other" dream job be?
    4. Do you enjoy reading, if so what are you reading now? Who are your favorite authors? Favorite book?
5.Do you have any hobbies that don't involve music?

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
