Chomping at the Bit

I am thinking that Viggo Mortensen, Ed Harris, and Jeremy Irons in a western is going to be one film I will definitely fork out hard earned money to see in a theatre. I saw the trailer for the movie Appaloosa...gasped loudly when I saw my fave Viggo in cowboy duds once more *remembers Hidalgo* If there is one man that could mount a horse and look damn fine doing it, it's Viggo.

Apologizing for the advert before the Preview

  1. three of my favorite actors plus horses -- I don't think I can pass this one up either!

I loved Hidalgo. Plus Viggo looks like he can really ride, something a lot of those actors fake.

  2. I don't think my hubby and I will be passing that one up either! Anything cowboy or horse related-he is there! And he looks pretty darn good on a horse too! (He says I look "cute" on one, I guess because I'm short and weigh about as much as a teenage boy, lol!)

  3. I read somewhere that Viggo owns horses and rides a lot. He bought the horse who portrayed Hidalgo (or maybe it was the horse who portrayed Brego) after he was done filming the movies. So yeah, then man can ride *swoon*

Cherie I bet you do look cute on a horse! I have this terrible fear of them but remember fondly a ranch hand who helped me get over it once...

  4. Oh yes, this is on my 'must see' list this fall, along with the new Bond pic 'Quantum of Salace' and the New Ridley Scott movie with Russell Crowe and Leonardo DeCaprio!

And you are right gayl, it was the horse from LOTR he purchased!

And Ed Harris is one of my favs, that man can ACT! He was great in 'Gone Baby, Gone.'

  6. OK, I am not always too good with acronyms so what is NSHW? I'll probably smack myself in the head the minute I post this however.

  7. I think NSHW is non sim hunk of the week....

Horses aren't scary. Dogs are scary. I can walk right up to a strange horse, jump on and ride off. I've been known to jump up on the roof of a car to get away from a strange dog LOL!

and it makes sense with Brego -- that was a big horse. the "hidalgo" horse was a little small for Viggo.

and yes Emily, everyone looks good on a horse!

  8. Oh!!! LOL! Well in that case Viggo is my NSHM (M for millennium!)

Brego was a fabulous horse. I loved his look much more than Hidalgo although they are different breeds so that would make some difference...but still.

I feel a photo shoot coming on Beth...hehe.

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.
