Something a Little Different

I have just uploaded chapter ten of Dark December titled Aftershocks. In shooting this one I found that sometimes one (or more) picture can indeed be worth a thousand words.

I would like to acknowledge and share credit with Beth on this one. Not only does Beth kindly sharpen my endless number of snaps, critique my text (she has an endless supply of red pencils) she also co-authored part of this chapter. While I don't want to give anything away, I believe you will recognize her handiwork. I know you will recognize the faces.

Beth, as always you have my deepest thanks, not the least of which is for your friendship. We're not quite off the roller coaster but we are close...

So here's a preview shot...the lovely Julia Stanfield...who I am featuring because I have been very hard on her. Care to guess who she's on the phone with?

AND because I love this one so much, a completely non-related shot...couldn't help myself.

  1. LOL! I keep losing my red pencil...wait..the cat is sitting on it.

I did nothing much here. It is awesome. Gorgeous. Perfect. Brilliant.

And no matter where he travels, he's going to come back. Your fantastic shot!

I believe he will come back too wherever he goes...

  3. Is that Rafe? Oooooh nice capture.

I think it worked. Pictures are worth a thousand words and I think you pulled off so much atmosphere but I've already gushed about it over at the story :-)

However, your writing is so wonderful that you still evoke emotion from your readers no matter what method you use.

  4. Thanks anghard. I could have put text to those pictures but I felt they spoke volumes without it. I read your comments over on the story as well. I am really glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks for leaving me your thoughts ~ they always mean a lot.

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
