The Long Run

I have just published Dark December Chapter Six: Revelations. It is supposed to be a transitional chapter. Not too long--just tying up some loose ends and getting to where I am in my head with the story. Yeah, right.

I think this was my longest one yet. And Tony (newbie.t.) if you are reading this, you threw down the gauntlet--I accepted the challenge! 142 snaps my friend! (not counting the ones I didn't use, which I might add, were pretty damned good) And if you surpass this--you win!

Never again, I say--no more long episodes. My shoulders ache, my eyes are blurry, I haven't eaten--survived on coffee all weekend (mostly, anyway).

And a huge thank you goes to Beth who once again got me over the wall when I refused to continue, fixed my snaps, and kept me entertained! You rock girl! Saying thank you is not enough. We both wept over this one...a lot of deeply personal emotions surfaced...you shouldn't have to look too far to find them.

And so I am off for a well earned long soak and massage with a man whose hands can make me...oh never mind...

  1. You're welcome -- it was a total pleasure. And the product is incredible, although I had some bad moments when I first saw the snaps.

Outstanding, suspenseful, beautifully shot, and beautifully written. I cannot say enough!

  2. I had some horrible moments--so hard to go through it--

You made the shots look so wonderful--I can really see the difference.

And I don't know how you do it, but you always manage to shake the story out of my head so I can write it down.

Thanks for leaving me your thoughts ~ they always mean a lot.

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
