Is there is SimGod who feels the need to add to my misery? I wake up this morning and find an email from Leah that my pictures from chapter 2 are missing. OMFG! And it is probably my own fault. I had so much trouble loading chapter 3 that I had to delete the draft a few times. I ended up deleting the first attempt at chapter 2 (which was long) and I guess the images went too.
So I guess I will be busy for a bit getting them back up. Good thing I don't throw anything away from my game.....
Not happy about this AT ALL!!!!

In Perfect Harmony
In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
At least I'm not the only one who finds working with the blog an exercise in paranoia and frustration. It's somebody's conspiracy, although I probably can't blame it on Maxis this time.
ReplyDeleteFinally got them back. A chore but I did manage to fix the two that were out of order.
ReplyDeleteWell, although you all know by now that I am the High Sim Goddess, I don't know of any Sim God. Thankfully I'm married to a crazy human; I couldn't imagine the strife it would bring to my marriage if I had to compete with a god!
ReplyDeleteBut Gayl, if I ever find out there is indeed a Sim God, and he's trying to get to you, I'll do everything within my power to personally destroy him.
And if it's any comfort - even I find it difficult sometimes. Blogger creates extremely messy html for one thing, and if you try to clean it up, things just might go terribly wrong.
I once got a whole chapter deleted because of that just after I finished uploading it and wanted to publish it. Could start all over again.
Wasn't happy about that. But I'm still happy to have my own place,
and to be able to write what I want.
And I'm so glad you got your pictures back up Gayl! Great job! You deserve a night off. With a nice drink and a lot of pampering, and if you lived close by, I would come over to your place and see to it that you got your night off and the pampering.
Too bad I'm an ocean away, but I send you my cyberhugs.
More suffering to Evil Aggie for this mishap!
Thank you Leah. I actually tried modifying the html and yes, it is especially messy.
ReplyDeleteIt was a chore getting them back up. It was over half of them. Tedious job. But I did fix the two that were out of order! Silver lining!
I hope you know how grateful we are to have this place to tell our stories the way we want. It has opened up a tremendous amount of creativity in me so I think I can put up with a minor...okay, major...mishap as long as it is very rare.
I appreciate the cyberhugs. But if I ever get a night off, I expect I will be six feet under.
Do you think Aggie messed up my shots? She will pay dearly!!!!!
YESSS! Let's blame it on Aggie!
ReplyDeleteI don't know, Leah... the sungod is out there, golden throne, fancy sandals, very pretty toga, and plenty of thunderbolts, LOL!
I say we all take shots at her. Who can do their worst to Aggie! We should have a poll...how should Aggie suffer!
ReplyDeleteShe already has a permanent fire on her lot!
