WTF Moments

You may recognize this woman as the gorgeous green-eyed beauty from Beth's post. Not so lovely here is she? All I can say is that looks extremely painful...and odd. What in the name of Will Wright is going on there? And she impaled the poor barista's hands...he'll never juggle tumblers again. A few inches to her back and that poor guy will be singing soprano.

I created another test neighborhood in a different user account on my PC for shits and giggles although Cooper clone lives there (he was my crash test dummy). I have been experimenting with ACR so that I can figure out how it works without borking my story NB relationships (not that the NB will stay up longer than 30 seconds). So this woman is the only Romance sim in the test hood (I used a Randomizer for everyone) and she got knocked up first woohoo. With birth control set to ON. *sigh* Fortunately Cooper is in everyone's Friends Zone so he gets no love whatsoever.

Speaking of borked NBs, neither Beth nor I seem to be able to keep the NBs from crashing again. Looks like another major redo on the horizon. This time all the CC is going as far as I am concerned. I'll keep what I know works, what I know I like, and start over with the decor. Of course some things will be salvaged, especially the people who are backed up and tucked away in the vault, CC and all.

In other WTF moments I have been pretty sick. Going to get lab work done and waiting around for results is no fun. I have one day off this weekend (Sunday) and then go for Windows 7 certification training next week followed by our quarterly shift change. I was last on the lottery this time around. I got a graveyard shift. Talk about WTF...on the positive side I will have a lot of time on my hands so maybe I'll get caught up with my reading??

Also, we were given our annual reviews and bonuses. I got one that I was happy with the amount when my manager told me what it was considering anything over my regular pay is a welcome respite from abject poverty. Right up until he said, "That really isn't a very good bonus." Really? Then give me more damn it. Talk about a bass-ackwards remark. Isn't getting a good review and a bonus supposed to leave you feeling good? Appreciated? I guess he didn't get the memo...

  1. Dummy my ass. You shoved me in a cracker box and made me walk all over Hell and back and all you and Beth were concerned about was mailboxes!!!

  2. I'm still concerned with the mailboxes.

Your manager is an ass. I hope a dog bikes his butt while he's finding it somewhere near a mail box. I have a dog. He'd do it. Or he'd throw up on him. All good either way.

  3. I'm worried about all of it...

It was a stupid thing to say. I knew it wasn't a fortune but I would have taken $50 and a pat on the back.

Thanks for leaving me your thoughts ~ they always mean a lot.

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
