So close and yet so far...

...from an update that is.

OK. Let me see if I can figure out what the hell I did now. Finally got a house that won't crash for Cooper and his family when I install it, the gorgeous beach house that Beth created. And then this happens preceded by a transparent Mr. Humble who shows up whether you want him to or not. Shortly after...crash! Game goes down. Thinking back all I can remember doing is disabling trash cans and mailboxes with Clean Installer. Would that cause this? I don't know. At this point I am tempted to let all my characters live in the bin. I know I deleted some other duplicate files...to say I am extremely frustrated and reaching the end of my patience (which I don't have a lot of in the first place) is an understatement.

  1. Something like that only happened to me when I went to the mirror and had them change appearance. Certain outfits were fine but others did the whole bright red thing. I don't know why. I didn't even delete the clothing and/or meshes but the next time I restarted my game it was fine...

    Weird!

But I know what you mean about patience!

  2. Sorry but I've got nothing. I've never seen that before. I hope it's just a fluke and doesn't mean anything. Fingers crossed.

  3. I have never seen anything like that. However, the connection with the NPC Mr. Humble might be a clue. Make sure you're got a Mr. Humble enabled in the Character List. When I was going through the process of deleting excess characters, some lots crashed hard and repeatedly.

Thanks for leaving me your thoughts ~ they always mean a lot.

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.
