Checking In

An update to Dark December has been posted here: Flight Path I struggled a great deal to get an authentic looking arena built. I expect I will need to redo it for their next venue but at least I have a pretty good idea of what I need next time, including some CC I just couldn't muster the energy to produce. FYI it follows Beth's recent chapter of South Beach called Cloud Cover.

The arena in this chapter is based (very loosely) on the O2 Arena in London. This is a world class arena that will be hosting not only the biggest and hottest rock bands but also the 2012 Olympics.

Although my arena looks nothing like this...this is the venue for Mercury Rising's kick-off show for their world tour. Of course Storm Warning is their opening act.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this latest installment. I need to go soothe my achy bones with some comfort food. Actually, a big bowl of whipping cream with a mint chip ice cream chaser.

  1. It's an astonishing piece of work Gayl. Incredible.

And that sounds good. I have whipped cream in my fridge too. No ice cream, but I'd eat whipped cream on bread or anything else.

  2. Thank you Beth! It was a lot of work!!

Whipped cream...the ice cream is merely the excuse to slather it from one side of the bowl to the other...

  3. I am completely guilty of eating whipped cream by itself. Whether it be in a squeeze can or a bowl. My family has taken to hiding it from me during the holidays, which is when we have it for pies/etc, LOL!

Thanks for leaving me your thoughts ~ they always mean a lot.

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
