The Long and Winding Road

I think I was all over the place with this which seems odd since I pretty much knew where I was going. For once in a long time, I see well down the road for these next few chapters although getting them written and screen capped may be another story. I keep falling into potholes. Climbing out and then forgetting where I was going.

I have also had technical difficulties. The muse seemed to think it was humorous, or something. Don't ask; I can't explain it...well Beth would get it but I digress.

And speaking of Beth, tremendous thanks to her for taking many of these shots for me as well as helping me out with the writing in certain places. (Don't want to give it away but you'll know her handiwork). One of the many benefits of a collaboration. I can count on her to know exactly what I need for a scene. Thank you Beth!

So on to Chapter 24 of Dark December. I called it, after scratching my head to find the right title, Rhythm and Blues. If you haven't read Beth's latest, Objects in Motion, you need to read it first or this will not make sense.

Here is an image that really has nothing to do with the chapter but is endearing to me because my son, the drummer, does this all the time. He is constantly tapping his feet, his hands, his pencils, always in motion, playing air cymbals...I could go on and on.

  1. You're welcome, but it was your vision! I'm extremely excited about this one! It is just wonderful and creative and fabulous!

Well, I don't know how "funny" the technical difficulties were...not the term I would have used LOL!

  2. hehe They truly weren't funny but then I can't let him know just how bad he aggravated me can I?

I'm excited too! It has been a long time since the ideas flooded in like this. Right now they are fragments but I can see the foundations building so...

Thanks for leaving me your thoughts ~ they always mean a lot.

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
