Slide Show - Poll

I've been experimenting with various slide shows as a preview of the Dark December 'cast'. I created this as a movie and uploaded it so I could embed the html. I know, blah, blah, blah. But please check it out in the side bar and then cast your vote in the poll or leave a comment for me. I am not entirely happy with this one (I don't like the fact that I can't change the color of the toolbar) but it is better than everything else I have tried. And it comes with music.

    My dear Gayl, I think it's wonderful! Beautiful pics and lovely music! Would this be the actual size? If so, maybe the names can be a little larger. (That's for us beautiful mature readers that need glasses, lol!):D

    Thank you Zayury! It is still a work in progress but I don't want to waste time if it isn't working for anyone who want to view it.

    It's possible to click the Google link and view it full screen but the pictures don't look clear. They are great shots but the Google program distorts them quite a bit.

    I was inspired by yours but I haven't found the right fit for my blog yet. I've tried several but I hate the ads or they don't fit right in the side bar. I made this one with windows movie maker and converted it with DivX. Since Stage6 has closed down, I couldn't use that.

    And the music is perfect. It starts off extremely dark and ominous, but picks up and moves.

    Thanks Beth! I always intended to use that song for a sims movie. I'm not sure I am ready to do that one though. The storyline was going to be very dark and I just don't want to go there right now. Maybe one day though...

    I adore the fact that your were able to transfer your creativity from your writing into your films, not many writers able to do such a transformation, and so successfully! So, I bid you a job well done, and I am impatiently awaiting the next chapter of Dark December! I just cannot contain my excitment any longer!

    Arghhhhh! What is my issue? I have just re-read my comment, and I have noticed a mistake, first sentence, the word "your" is supposed to be "you", and I did not put the word "are" in the section of my statement where is says "not many writers..." Please excuse me for my brain fart. lol!

    By the way, I am delighted to inform you that I have finally, finally, FINALLY! published a story entitled "Stories of Mass Destruction: Myths". But, unfortunetly, I have been receiving complaints from other bloggers that they are not able to retrieve the file that contains my story! As soon as I have this situation settled, you will be the very first one I inform, I would greatly appreciate the feedback and comments from an experienced writer.

    Hello Indira! Thanks for the comments. I am working on the next chapter right now and only have one more scene to shoot I believe. Unfortunately real life and other distractions have kept me from finishing. Hopefully this weekend if things go right.

    I will definitely check out your blog as soon as I can!

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.
