Those who know me well already grasp the fact that music is very much a part of who I am and my creativity. For the last year I have wanted to make a sims movie video and although I started and stopped so many times, I am finally biting the bullet and giving it a go.
My problem has never been conceptual, it has been technical. Grasping the art of filming in the game. Thanks to a good friend who emailed me some tutorial links, I think I might actually get it. I have made and edited music videos that were live, (my sons; I made them dvds of their performances with my Mac) so the editing aspect should be easy (famous last words there)
No guarantee it will ever see the light of day publicly and I have been practicing at filming but if it works, then I hope many more will come.
In the meantime, I decided to embed some holiday music on this blog as well. I don't know how many of you turn on your audio when you browse but one of my sons' original songs plays on Dark December. So crank up the volume and enjoy "Carol of the Bells" performed by the Trans Siberian Orchestra and featuring...*drumroll please*
...Metallica!

In Perfect Harmony
In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
Just listen to James Hetfield's guitar scream in this song!

ReplyDeleteOk, ok, turned up so loud at this point that the walls are shaking!!!

I knew you would appreciate this if anyone would...
ReplyDeleteI don't know what it is about rock music that just fills me up inside. It wants to explode. I could go on and on but it would need to be offline! LOL!
