Pancakes and Maple Butter

I always find it interesting how certain things will inspire me to write. I have been staring at my third draft of Dark December Chapter 5 for hours. I have written and re-written the mere two and a half pages I started out with. I went so far as to outline exactly what is going to take place. I still can't put the words down. They refuse to form.

I DID manage to write a scene for chapter 6 or 7 which sprang from an ongoing discussion about "Martha Stewart". And the Joy of Cooking. Or was it something else...

Maybe I will end up posting the Cliff Notes version of chapter 5 since I can't seem to write it and focus on what seems to flow freely from my imagination....

Hoping my muse will take pity and assist...

  1. You are EVIL!! The Joy of Cooking! Laughing myself sick!

Now that I got that out of the way, the pancakes with maple butter sound delightful. Maybe with a side order of something. Like beef.

  5. That is none other than Cooper Stanfield, one of the main characters in my story Dark December.

Quite a sexy babe isn't he?

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
