Download Demons

Well, I have been slowly getting through DD6 (or is it 7; I've lost track). I wrote a particularly difficult scene today, only about a page but a very emotional scene and very personal. I have been crying over it for the better part of the day. And when I cry, I get really tired and sleepy for some reason. So I have been completely useless.

Took the boys out for my eldest son's birthday to a wonderful restaurant near Stanford University that I suspect will become my new favorite place to go called the Cheesecake Factory. And the first thing I thought of as I walked into this wonderfully designed and decorated restaurant was...

I wonder where I can download those lights.

Honestly the whole time I was looking around making mental notes on how to recreate it...as if I could...and it looks as delicious inside as the food they serve.

Anyway, please stay tuned--the creative juices are flowing, albeit slowly, and I have been doing some extracurricular activities that have been just what the doctor ordered! Speaking of which--please check out Beth's update on Rafe's Journal. It is fabulous! A huge piece of work and truly wonderful! She is posting it in installments so check back there often!

And speaking of cheesecake...

...Coop's one yummy looking guy isn't he?

  1. Sounds like you had a wonderful time! Don't worry, I am sure the next update will be just as wonderful as all your previous chapters have been.

I will still be reading, even if I am no longer writing :-)

  2. Gorgeous shot!

Ok, the restaurant is pretty, too!

and if I hadn't distracted you for the better part of a month, you'd probably have worked on DD more. Thank you again, so much.

  3. LOL! Yes, gorgeous shot is right! Gorgeous man...

I wish I had a decent shot of the interior of that restaurant though. It was seriously beautiful. Maybe Madisim can build one...

Aislinn, I am giving serious thought to putting footage of DD into a movie featuring the song, Dark December. It would take me forever but it would be so good! I can already picture it.

  4. I think you should put footage of DD into a movie featuring a song. It'd turn out GREAT. It's such a wonderful story. Windows Movie Maker should do the trick - it's very easy to learn.

Just keep us up to date on whether you decide to or not. I've got your blog bookmarked and on my favourites list anyway.

Now I am going off to read Beth's latest update.

  5. Cheesecake....factory.... [wipes away drool] Why oh why don't we have those in this country!!! My human rights have been taken! And speaking of drool, Coop looks almost a tasty as a cheescake. Almost. ;)

  6. Tony! Yay! Yes, Coop is looking particularly tasty...

It's a shame you don't have Cheesecake Factories. Wonderful discovery. We had banana cream cheesecake for dessert along with vanilla bean. They must have hundreds of different flavors on the menu. No time to try them all but I will go back again I am sure.

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
