There's No Place Like Home

Cat hair everywhere. Cat pee somewhere in the house that I need to locate and clean up. A stack of mail. Flashing red light on the answering machine. A list of complaints regarding my absence from the boys.

My high speed internet! My own bed! My candles! My sanity!

I am so happy to be home. Even if it is a short lived stay. Going to snap like crazy and try to get my story posted. Keep good thoughts for me!

Another outtake for your viewing pleasure.

  1. The screenshot looks amazing, and the moon shining in the distance is a great bonus too! I'm looking forward to reading the next installment of Dark December!

  2. Beautiful shot...gorgeous and evocative and sad.

Here's hoping Coop soon finds someone to sit in that chair next to him...

  3. I must admit, that shot really surprised me. I didn't think it would turn out quite that beautiful. Wish I had set Coop up a little better.

I am definitely going to use that moon elsewhere.

  4. By the way Gayle, what are "Day Dreams"? That sounds interesting....

  5. Never mind! The file reads "invitation only" so I assume it must be private....

  6. Yes Indira, it is private. Just something I have been playing around with. Not anything I would be sharing.

I just wanted an easy way to access it so I put the link up here. Maybe I will take that link down.

Thanks for leaving me your thoughts ~ they always mean a lot.

In Perfect Harmony

In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."

In dreams, the sun sets in our eyes
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
