I felt a compelling need to finish and upload chapter two today. This chapter takes place three years prior to chapter one and will give you not only some background but also a bit of foreshadowing.
I won't say it was easy with the usual technical difficulties and the fact that I had made some edits on a separate document that I hope made it to the final draft. It is very long (remind me NEVER to write this much again) but I couldn't find a stopping point I was happy with and there were a few scenes I felt I really wanted in this chapter.
I used Photoshop to enhance some of the images. (Thank you Leah for the links to the tutorials). I really hate using that technique to get a point across. I would much rather use my words but hey, I will try anything at least once.
I apologize in advance for any bad quality screenshots. After I re-installed, I used better quality capture settings, forgetting that I used different settings for the originals. I did re-take many of them but there are way too many to do that with all of them.
Thank you Beth and Tony for the support, encouragement, and the virtual gin!
Enjoy!

In Perfect Harmony
In June of 2007 I posted my first chapter of Dark December. Since that time, the story has evolved and changed in part through a collaboration that developed and lasted over 4 years. During this time a friendship was forged. Thank you Beth, for unwavering friendship, support, and generosity over these last 4+ years. It has been a journey I will never forget.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."
In dreams, we'll never be apart
In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone
How much I wish your voice could send me home
